This drawing presents a very unique pose. It displays a term referred to as fore shortening when parts of the body are much closer to the artist. Please email me for shipping and tax charges or if you wish to pay by check or Venmo.
Being a model for drawing co op is hard work. The models must hold a pose for anywhere from 2 minutes to 25 minutes. The shorter "warm up" poses let the model be more adventurous and take difficult positiions. Freeman was a great model and the opportunity to the limits.

I always appreciate when the co op schedules a male model as the majority of our models are seem to be women. And when we get someone who is young, fit, and can do yoga poses, I know it is going to be a good challenge.

Artists see a lot of backs in life drawing co op. In this co op the drawers are in chairs and desks that are positioned around the podium so the model turns with poses. Details like drapery, furniture, tatoos or head bands can add interest.

Here is another great pose. The placement of the legs allow for a stable composition. I always want to fill the plane of the paper as much as possible. Again, using line to create the sense of volume is the endeavor.

Kylie is a petite model, but I wanted to fill the paper with this pose. The simlicity of the line conveys the volume of a drawn figure. This is one of my favorite drawings. The simple and elegant ones always are becuase they make drawing look so easy. I keep one out of 20 or so drawings and even then will only frame a small percentage of that.

This drawing was described by the juror as "elegant" in her remarks as she awarded me a prize. As I stepped forward to recieve it, women in the audience as I stepped by them commented on how much they liked it. Women responding to drawings of women!

Again, you will see the manipulation of proportion and the use of line to achieve volume in this drawing. The essence of the model comes across as well.
